Hydrogen On Demand Systems Pvt. Ltd. was incorporated in 2020 with Registered Office in New Delhi, to develop products based on Hydrogen technology. We have developed and tested a proprietary Hydrogen based kit which can significantly reduce emissions from all petrol & diesel engines used for passenger and commercial vehicles, agricultural and mining equipment fitted with such engines, and diesel generators. The technology for this kit is based on in-situ production of Hydrogen in the vehicle or diesel generator, and the HODS kit (patent applied for) is now ready for production. The HODS kit has been designed primarily for aftermarket products. However, the technology can easily be adapted for fitment during production of vehicles and diesel generators.

Extensive testing of the HODS kit has been carried out by the Company over the course of the past 18 months, initially on the test bench and then on a vehicle. The vehicle has finally also been tested at ICAT, Manesar.

HHO gas is a unique product based on the discoveries and patent work of Professor Yull Brown in the late 1960’s. He discovered (in contradiction to the conventional wisdom of the time), that it was indeed possible to create a unique electrolyser that could separate the hydrogen and oxygen atoms out of water, without separating them into different tanks. Prior to this, the common misconception was that the hydrogen and oxygen should never be allowed to remain together after electrolysis.

The gas he created was tested and found to increase the combustion efficiency of engines, could be used for welding torches with large enough generators, and was easily made. Unlike pure hydrogen (H₂), the new gas (dubbed ‘Brown’s Gas’ or ‘Yull Gas’ at the time) could not be compressed and stored for long periods in a tank. It needed to be used immediately for best results.

His discovery was ground breaking. However, because of the slow nature of information dissemination those days, not much research was done, and this technology remained confined to a few individuals who were interested in the science and its application. Today, the internet and Youtube have allowed an explosion of experimenters and tinkerers around the world to advance and share the technology, and show how it can be applied to modern vehicles. In 2008, there were only a few demo videos and very few companies willing to manufacture these kits. Now, nearly every city in the USA, and many cities across the globe have manufacturers of hydrogen kits.

HODS technology has been developed primarily with safety in mind. In-situ production of Hydrogen in a vehicle or for a diesel generator is inherently safe. In fact, in the past 20 years of this technology being employed all over the world, there has not been a single reported case of any damage to a vehicle or injury to a passenger attributable to a HODS kit, much less any loss of life.
